Description:

Video and Multimedia Production Specialist This position is a multifaceted role that supports the Nevada Online website and online classes with high-quality video and multimedia content.Responsibilities Consult with instructors and colleagues to understand video content goals and objectives.Plan video scripts and storyboards.Operate video cameras on location or in the lightboard studio to capture lectures and other content.Shoot professional‑grade original and creative videos with attention to composition, lighting and audio.Develop, plan, and produce a variety of lab, instructional, outreach, and promotional dynamic media projects utilizing video, audio, graphics, photography, animation, and other digital media technologies.Create appropriate graphics, animations, still images, and other audio/visual elements.Oversee digital media management software and hardware.Establish protocols for routine cataloguing and archiving of videos, photos, audio recordings, etc.Edit and assemble instructional and promotional videos in post‑production, integrating third‑party media into course content.Manage student employees assisting with video production, editing, and captioning.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and at least two years of related work experience; OR Master's Degree and at least one year of related work experience.Experience in video pre‑production, production, and post‑production processes.Strong storytelling and scripting skills.Proficiency with media technologies, including interactive digital media, digital imaging, and video technology.Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and lead a small team of student employees.Compensation and Benefits Grade Administrative Faculty – B; salary competitive and commensurate with education and experience (salary schedule available on the university website).Retirement plan: 19.25% university contribution with 100% vested on the first day.Health, dental, and vision insurance for employees on an annual “A” or “B” contract and 50%+ full‑time equivalent.Generous annual leave, sick leave, and life insurance.Faculty grants‑in‑aid and tuition benefits for qualified dependents.Access to campus fitness center, wellness programs, and flexible work options.Equal Employment Opportunity The University of Nevada, Reno is committed to providing a place of work and learning free of discrimination on the basis of a person's age (40 or older), disability, gender (including pregnancy‑related conditions), military status or obligations, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, national origin, race (including hair texture and protected hairstyles such as natural hairstyles, afros, bantu knots, curls, braids, locks, and twists), color, or religion.
