Treatment Coordinator – Oral Surgery Practice

We are an elite oral surgery practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and first-class service to our referring partners. We are seeking a compassionate, outgoing, and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping patients navigate their care.

This role is essential to ensuring a seamless patient experience—from understanding treatment plans to clearly communicating financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Communication

  • Provide exceptional phone and in-person customer service
  • Clearly communicate treatment options, costs, and payment expectations
  • Collect payments in a professional and timely manner
  • Insurance & Billing

  • Verify insurance and maintain accurate patient insurance records
  • Interpret and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
  • Process claims and ensure accurate billing
  • Treatment Coordination

  • Review and explain treatment plans, including surgical procedures
  • Translate clinical diagnoses into clear financial and scheduling information
  • Calculate copays and patient responsibility promptly after exams
  • Referral Management

  • Review, interpret, and coordinate referrals from general dentists and specialists
  • Accurately read and process outside treatment information
  • Operations & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain the provider schedule for optimal efficiency
  • Partner with clinical staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience
  • Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Professional Standards

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Remain calm, empathetic, and professional during busy periods
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a dental or oral surgery practice
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and CDT codes
  • Experience with insurance verification, claims, and EOB interpretation
  • Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
