Treatment Coordinator – Oral Surgery Practice
We are an elite oral surgery practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and first-class service to our referring partners. We are seeking a compassionate, outgoing, and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping patients navigate their care.
This role is essential to ensuring a seamless patient experience—from understanding treatment plans to clearly communicating financial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Communication
Provide exceptional phone and in-person customer serviceClearly communicate treatment options, costs, and payment expectationsCollect payments in a professional and timely mannerInsurance & Billing
Verify insurance and maintain accurate patient insurance recordsInterpret and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)Process claims and ensure accurate billingTreatment Coordination
Review and explain treatment plans, including surgical proceduresTranslate clinical diagnoses into clear financial and scheduling informationCalculate copays and patient responsibility promptly after examsReferral Management
Review, interpret, and coordinate referrals from general dentists and specialistsAccurately read and process outside treatment informationOperations & Team Collaboration
Maintain the provider schedule for optimal efficiencyPartner with clinical staff to deliver an exceptional patient experiencePrioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced settingProfessional Standards
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentialityRemain calm, empathetic, and professional during busy periodsPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience in a dental or oral surgery practiceStrong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and CDT codesExperience with insurance verification, claims, and EOB interpretationEducation
High school diploma or equivalent requiredSkills & Abilities
