The Software Engineer is to be a technology leader and major influence on the direction of information technology and application systems developed by the Credit Union. The Software Engineer recommends and/or leads the development of innovative technologies to enhance information resources and services and will provide technical direction and leadership in initiatives that support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. This position requires the ability to architect, design, and implement software solutions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, IN PRIORITY ORDER (Majority of duties, but not meant to be all inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary) 1. Responsible for the planning, design, building, security, testing, installation, and support of software applications.
