Startup Internship Opportunity in Reno: Sports Tech, Marketing, Product Launch & Hands-On R&D

I'm looking for a motivated local intern to join me part-time as I build and launch HEPOX™, a Reno-based sports technology startup developing a portable intermittent hypoxia training device for endurance athletes, performance-focused users, and future medical/military research applications.

This is not a traditional internship where you sit in meetings and make coffee.

This is a hands-on opportunity to get an inside look at what it actually takes to build an early-stage company from the ground up, including product development, digital marketing, customer outreach, fulfillment, testing, branding, and launch strategy.

The role will be broad by design. I'm looking for someone who is excited to wear multiple hats and help with things like:

• Helping organize launch materials, athlete feedback, and product testing notes
• Managing and helping optimize Instagram/Meta ads
• Creating marketing graphics, social posts, and Canva content
• Helping with short-form video/reel ideas and launch content
• Assisting with product assembly, packaging, and shipping
• Supporting customer outreach and early adopter communication
• Helping organize launch materials, athlete feedback, and product testing notes
• Getting exposure to startup fundraising, R&D, prototyping, branding, and go-to-market strategy
  

This is ideal for a UNR student or local Reno student interested in sports tech, entrepreneurship, marketing, mechanical engineering, product design, business, kinesiology, exercise science, or startups.

• Location: Reno, NV, in person/hybrid
• Hours: Approximately 10 hours/week
• Company: HEPOX™
• Pay: $18-23/hr
• Stage: Early-stage startup entering growth, product refinement, pilot testing, and launch preparation
• Ideal candidate: Creative, self-motivated, organized, reliable, curious, and excited to learn how a real startup works behind the scenes
  

You do not need to be an expert in everything. The right person is someone who learns quickly, takes initiative, communicates well, and is excited to be close to the action during the early launch phase of a company.

This could be a great fit for someone who wants real experience they can talk about in future interviews, grad school applications, business school applications, startup roles, or their own entrepreneurial path.
