Bargaining Unit: Non Represented - Supervisor

Rate of Pay: $34.46/hour + DOE

Summary
Responsible for assisting in the oversight and management of efficient and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in overseeing the end-to-end operations of the accounts payable team, including invoice processing, payment runs, and expense report management.
  • Ensures payments are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in compliance with company policy.
  • Assists in developing and enforcing accounts payable policies and procedures.
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining strong vendor and supplier relations.
  • Resolves vendor issues, discrepancies, or disputes effectively and professionally.
  • Ensures accurate vendor records, including banking information and tax documents (W-9s).
  • Assists with implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensures compliance with tax regulations, including sales/use tax and 1099 reporting.
  • Assists with identifying and implementing opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the AP systems. Looks for opportunities to leverage AP automation tools within the ERP system to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Stays informed about best practices in accounts payable management.
  • Assists with the supervision, mentoring, and development of the accounts payable team.
  • Provides training on the accounts payable system and processes.
  • Fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
  • Complies with System policies and procedures
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university or 3 or more years relevant experience

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, proficient in the use of accounting software and ERP systems, excellent organizational skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills.
