Description:

These positions work in an industrial work setting manufacturing Latex paint products. The job requires employees perform work according to strict Environmental, Health and Safety Standards. Temporary contract workers work in Material Handling roles requiring the training and useof Industrial Powered Equipment or the Filling Department roles operating automated packaging equipment.

Requirements:
• Follows all safety procedures and works to continuously improve safety in the plant and work areas
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps as completed.
• Required to physically move finished goods, raw materials and packaging related dunnage as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must have ability to understand and carry out instructions issued in written and verbal English.
• Must have ability to complete required safety training.
• Must have interpersonal skills to work in a positive manner in a team atmosphere.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move over, under, and around forklift, pallet jack, and racking equipment.
• Ability to lift cases or pails of product and maneuver them as needed on production lines.
• Ability to use computers and warehouse management systems (SAP Preferred) to manage, complete and resolve errors as needed.
• Performs routine quality inspections to ensure all manufacturing steps are performed in acceptable manner.
• Wear protective gear including but not limited to: gloves, safety glasses, and other PPE including respirators as required.
• Complete regular inspection of equipment, maintain clean and neat work area and assist others as needed.
• Maintains housekeeping standards and performs cleaning as assigned including daily trash and cardboard duties.
• Other tasks as assigned.
