Position Summary

The Facilities Technician will successfully complete preventive maintenance, work orders, and minor renovations to include tasks in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, temperature controls, and other duties as assigned.

Will be capable of understanding the diagnostic testing and analysis of the systems referenced above and comfortable with making assigned repairs necessary for normal operations.

Relevant coursework/specialized training or equivalent

Formal training in facilities management or related field or completion of an approved trade program in any of the following trade programs: HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, lighting, temperature controls, electrical, or related trade.

• Ability to perform the diagnostic testing and analysis of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, temperature controls, and other duties as assigned
• Successfully complete safety training courses and adhere to safety procedures
• Ability to communicated with campus customers and technicians
• Ability to learn and share existing and new skill sets and knowledge
• Ability to effectively identify and respond to complex issues and problems
• Knowledge and application of city, state and federal codes and regulations

Preferred Education:
Associate's degree
