• Essential Functions:
  • Operate the Magnetic Resonance systems at SimonMed Imaging centers.
  • Utilize knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and technology.
  • Use a magnetic resonance scanner to capture images for physicians to diagnose and treat pathologies.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques; operate the console and peripheral hardware; accurately enter and monitor patient data.
  • Transfer images from disk to magnetic media and produce transparency; develop film in an automatic processor.
  • Maintain accurate study documentation and backup images from disk to storage media.
  • Perform various tasks with a degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Demonstrate competency in job-related skills relevant to specific customer populations while providing excellent customer service.
  • Utilize equipment and mechanical devices to ensure a functional, effective, and safe operational environment.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Registration as an MR Technologist by the A.R.R.T. or ARMRIT.
  • Current CPR certification.
• Experience:
  • Preferred: 1 year in a fast-paced MRI environment.
• Physical Demands:
  • Be prepared for duties that include lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for extended periods, and frequent standing and walking.
• Dress Attire:
  • Business casual or scrubs, depending on departmental requirements.
