Position Summary
The Greeter is the first point of contact for guests dining at Osteria Sierra and is responsible for setting the tone of the dining experience. This role includes welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating the flow of the dining room, and assisting with guest inquiries and seating in a professional and friendly manner.
Responsibilities
Greet guests upon arrival with a warm, welcoming demeanor
Manage reservations and walk-ins using the restaurant's seating system
Provide accurate wait times and maintain efficient table rotation
Escort guests to their tables and present menus
Answer phones, take messages, and assist with general guest inquiries
Collaborate with servers and management to ensure smooth dining room operations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
Follow Hyatt and local safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications:
Previous host/hostess or customer service experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
