Commissioning Provider / Project Leader
Join our dynamic Impact Cx Team as a Commissioning Provider/Project Leader, where you will collaborate with our Project Team Members to deliver comprehensive commissioning projects to our valued clients. This role offers full remote work flexibility, complemented by 50-70% travel to commissioning sites across the country.
As the Project Leader, you will be at the forefront of managing and overseeing all phases of commissioning projects from pre-construction to close-out. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring project success, and you may juggle multiple projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively coordinate with general contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and project owners through excellent verbal and written communication.
- Develop detailed commissioning scopes and fee proposals.
- Analyze and relay project plans, scopes, specifications, contract documents, safety regulations, and schedules to Cx staff and project team members.
- Work closely with the Cx Project Coordinator to create and manage Project Plans that outline deliverables and resources.
- Collaborate with Project Accountants to prepare monthly invoices and manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Conduct thorough commissioning design reviews, including OPR, BOD, plans and specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Facilitate OPR Workshops as needed.
- Perform site observations during construction and generate comprehensive Site Observation Reports.
- Create tailored test scripts, including Pre-Functional Checklists (PFC), Functional Performance Tests (FPT), and Integrated Systems Tests (IST).
- Oversee on-site execution and witnessing of tests.
- Lead commissioning meetings and distribute detailed minutes to stakeholders.
- Document and resolve commissioning issues with project teams efficiently.
- Prepare comprehensive Commissioning Reports and Systems Manuals.
- Conduct Warranty Walk-Throughs and coordinate seasonal testing updates for Cx Reports and Systems Manuals.
Essential Skills:
- Highly organized with proven leadership skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, particularly within the built environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience managing multiple projects from inception to completion.
- Ability to thoughtfully address sensitive situations.
- Analytical skills for processing information and providing effective solutions.
- Familiarity with local energy codes and LEED Cx requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 10+ years of equivalent experience in MEP construction, commissioning, and project management.
- Professional Engineering License is a plus.
- Experience with Cx Alloy is beneficial.
- Project Management Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification is required, while OSHA 30-hour is preferred.
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret project financial information effectively.
- Field experience is preferred.
- NFP 70E certification is required.
- Certification in Building Commissioning is preferred, though not required.
Travel Requirement: 50-70%
The anticipated salary for this role ranges from $145,000 to $165,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will reflect factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as performance-based bonuses.
