MRI Technologist

Northern Nevada Medical Center is a 124-bed acute care hospital located on 23 hillside acres at 2375 E. Prater Way in Sparks, Nevada.

Northern Nevada Medical Center is looking for a dynamic MRI Technologist. This position is per diem and offers a flexible schedule. This individual will focus on high quality service and will be the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Job Duties:

• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly
• Able to assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
• Performs MRI safety check on all patient and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy
• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of burns and to patients

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.

Two year of radiological/imaging experience.

Prefer specific experience and training in MRI. Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment.

ARRT license required.

Current BCLS certification.

Willing to take call / standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.
