As an employee-owned firm with over 60 years of expertise, we emphasize long-term career growth, team leadership, and a strong voice within the company.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Nebraska or Iowa preferredMinimum of 4 years of experience in civil or municipal designProven background in industrial and infrastructure projectsStrong verbal, written, and organizational skillsBusiness acumen in project planning and management is preferredPreferred Qualifications:8+ years of relevant experienceExperience with OpenRoads/InRoads/MicroStation for DOT or City projects, or Civil 3D/AutoCAD for general civil workJob Duties & Responsibilities:Collaborate with key clients to define project requirements, establish design criteria, and communicate priorities to the project team.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and estimates.Oversee the production of construction documents with a team of skilled professionals.Conduct detailed project reviews at various design stages.Coordinate design efforts with public and private stakeholders.Provide Construction Administration services, including reviewing submittals/shop drawings, change order requests, and addressing field inquiries.Project Focus:Public sector infrastructure projects, including city streets, sanitary sewers, water mains, highways, utilities, grading, drainage, and storm sewer projects.Involvement in site development (parking lots, drainage areas, landscaping) and roadway planning (road widening, NDOT permits).Industrial land development projects (e.g., factory sites, plants), excluding commercial and residential work.Ideal Candidate Profile:Experienced with consulting firms, particularly in civil, site development, or roadway design.Candidates from larger firms looking to lead a design team and make a greater impact within a smaller, client-focused environment.Interest in long-term career growth, leading projects, and client management.Benefits:Flex time, health, life, and disability insuranceEmployer-contributed 401(k)Paid professional licensure fees, memberships, and annual bonusesOpportunities for leadership and career advancement within an employee-owned companyLocation: Council Bluffs, IA, and Omaha, NESalary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year, with a generous bonus programShift & Hours: Monday- Friday 8 AM- 5 PMApplication Eligibility: Permanent residents and U.S. citizens are welcome to apply.
