Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a Lead Engineer to join their client's team in Sparks, Nevada. This position involves independently delivering engineering services, from conceptual design through construction completion. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure project success and maintain high standards of engineering excellence.
Responsibilities

• Complete project planning, coordination, and execution with some oversight.
• Independently complete conceptual design through construction drawing development for multiple small and medium-sized standard projects simultaneously.
• Create conceptual designs certified to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards.
• Responsible for HVAC calculations, design, and layout of equipment, duct, and piping systems on assigned projects.
• Solid understanding of applications engineering such as psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems.
• Proactively communicate and coordinate project designs with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners.
• Conduct economic and energy analyses.
• Field engineering: assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and problem-solving/troubleshooting, as required.
• Responsible for the quality of design drawings and models.
• Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines.
• Oversee other design team members to complete project assignments when requested by Manager.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Professional Engineer license highly desirable, but not required.
• 3+ years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or consultant.
• Excellent understanding of engineering and design fundamentals.
• Thorough understanding of systems and applications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Required Work Hours

This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours are as established by the local manager and generally begin and end between 7:00 am to 8:00 am start and 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm end, with a one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required, and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business need.
Benefits

Additional Details: Max Pay is $135,000. Min Pay is $120,000.
