Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center construction projects. This role requires strategic leadership, advanced project management skills, and the ability to oversee all aspects of complex, mission-critical builds from preconstruction through closeout.

The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and achieving profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, business judgment, and oversight of all financial and operational aspects of assigned data center projects.

  • Lead preconstruction efforts, including project acquisition, scope definition, budgeting, and milestone setting.

  • Assign, mentor, and manage project teams, ensuring appropriate staffing for the scope and complexity of each project.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from start-up through closeout, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budget, and schedule.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, performance, safety, and quality.

  • Identify and proactively address potential challenges, implementing creative solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

  • Review subcontractor scopes, contracts, and pre-mobilization activities to ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of owner billings, change orders, and schedule updates.

  • Lead owner meetings, project reviews, and milestone presentations, maintaining continuous communication with all stakeholders.

  • Oversee project profitability by monitoring costs, forecasting performance, and ensuring effective use of resources.

  • Recruit, mentor, and coach project management staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 10 years' construction management experience, including multiple large-scale, mission-critical, or data center projects.

  • Proven success managing projects with high technical requirements, tight schedules, and large budgets.

  • Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling software), Timberline, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and build client trust.

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation abilities.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs.

Preferred Project Experience

Mission-critical facilities, hyperscale or colocation data centers, industrial, high-tech manufacturing, or large-scale commercial builds.

Compensation:
$120,000-$140,000 per year
