Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for an Assistant Project Manager for one of our top clients in Sparks, NV. This person will be joining their self-perform team consisting of 75 craft and field laborers, a Superintendent, Project Coordinator, and several foreman supporting their SEMI expansion which is the build of a semi-manufacturing facility. A typical day will consist of estimating, some take offs, review drawings (electrical drawings for IFC), and single line diagrams. They will also be responsible for some procurement duties including reaching out to vendors, gathering quotes, coordinating with the field for questions, and navigating with the engineering team to come up with solutions. Periodically they will be going out into the field to check on safety, track productivity, and quality control.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop execution plans to ensure cost and schedule expectations are achieved
- Develop funding requests for new projects
- Perform constructability reviews during design development to ensure engineering documents meet project needs
- Work with the Procurement team to create biddable work packages and verify contractor proposals against cost/schedule estimates
- Interface with engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning teams
- Ensure a high level of quality and safety is maintained during field execution

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
- 2+ years of Project Management experience
o Construction, facilities, industrial plant, or electrical background
o Comfortable with estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and other project management duties
- Proficient in Excel, MS Project, and Bluebeam
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or related

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
- Prior experience working with P6

Compensation:
$40/hr to $50/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
