Job Description Summary

The Associate Director, Program Management, is responsible for leading the project portfolio of operations optimization initiatives across the Diagnostics Solutions (DS) Integrated Supply Chain (ISC). This role involves managing projects from inception to completion, focusing on improving gross profit by reducing product costs through continuous operational improvements. The position reports to the Director of Sustaining Engineering and collaborates closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive a portfolio of cost-reduction and efficiency projects aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Prioritize projects with plant and CI leadership, allocate budgets, and manage resources effectively.
  • Lead large-scale sustaining engineering projects using best-in-class program management methodologies.
  • Partner with various teams to optimize processes and reduce costs, maintaining project status, timing, and financial impact.
  • Establish program governance, reporting, and financial tracking to ensure benefits are realized.
  • Apply phase-gate approaches and ensure project rigor at each phase exit.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies, automation, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Act as a champion for operational agility and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Develop tools, processes, and training to enhance project management within ISC PMO.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior associates.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in project/program management, manufacturing operations, engineering, or continuous improvement roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience managing large programs or teams, preferably in a global setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device or regulated environments, including FDA experience.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMP, or Agile.

Skills Needed

  • Influence and collaboration skills across organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Business acumen, including understanding of manufacturing cost standards and P&L.
