Seeking a candidate to serve as a Project Engineer with an emphasis on Electrical and Mechanical engineering backgrounds, particularly Electrical. The resource should be experienced with organizing, coordinating, and overseeing engineering design. Responsibilities include building and compiling technical documentation, scopes, and other project support documentation. Experience with Gas Turbines, mechanical systems, and fire protection is a plus.

Job Summary

The Project Engineer is the technical coordinator of all engineering tasks for the project(s), the SME during RFP and Bid Reviews, and assists the Project Leader/Manager with related project tasks.

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure all projects are executed with Safety and Environmental Compliance as the primary focus.
  2. Work with Project Leader/Manager to understand project scopes and help develop written scopes of work, including those for a contracted Owners Engineer (OE).
  3. Interface with PG Engineering, Station Management, and other departments as needed.
  4. Assist with RFP and Bid Review processes.
  5. Develop engineering specifications for RFP and review/revise as needed.
  6. Manage the RFI process on behalf of the Project Leader/Manager.

Specifically For OE Bids

  1. Review all development information submitted by OE or external developers.
  2. Review land utilization, site design, energy performance, and zoning/land use permits as applicable.

Specifically For EPC Bids

  1. Coordinate project information for EPC RFP process and review EPC submittals.
  2. Develop project-specific EPC exhibits and confirm project capacity and interconnection design.
  3. Review EPC proposals, site plans, technical data, and proposed specification changes.
  4. Assist in Bid Review Matrix development and in troubleshooting during startup and commissioning.

Qualifications/Experience

  1. BS in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  2. Minimum 5 years as a project engineer or assisting a project manager in a multi-functional team.
  3. Strong planning, organizing, and communication skills.
  4. Ability to develop and monitor project engineering performance.
  5. Proficient in reading and interpreting manuals, drawings, and technical instructions.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
